Russell Hall, age 79, passed away Memorial Day, May 29, 2017, at his home in Westport, after a long illness. He was born in Rocky Mountain, Va., March 21, 1938.

Russell served in the Air Force at age 18, and was stationed at an early warning site in Labrador.

He went on to become a truck driver and traveled the country, then he became an electrician.

Russell worked as a postal carrier in the Tri-Cities, before his employment at Hanford, as a sodium technician.

He moved to Westport and had Westport Auto Marine Electric for many years, after which he drove a concrete truck in Wenatchee for Quality Concrete, until he retired.

Russell moved back to the town he loved, Westport, and managed Westaire Mobile Home Park.

He enjoyed music and electronics.

Russell is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marcia; his sons Michael Hall and Donald Hall; and his daughter Carol Hall. He is also survived by his sisters Doris Franklin and Peggy Hall King. He was loved and will be missed.

There will be a double celebration of life for Russell Hall and Jim Rasmussen, a former Westport resident, at the home of Mike and Joni Struckmeier, 210 S Central, Westport on Saturday, July 15, at 2 p.m. It will be a potluck. Bring your stories and a dish if you wish.
