Ruth Ann Caldwell of Cosmopolis passed away at Harbor Regional Health Center in Aberdeen on Oct. 17, 2024. She was 75 years old.
Ruth was born on Sept. 24, 1949, in Spokane to parents Albert Raymond Carman and Lora Dene (Rathman) Carman. She was raised in Hoquiam and graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1968.
On Feb. 14, 1970, she married the love of her life, James Allen Caldwell (Jim). The two of them moved to Aberdeen, where they resided for 10 years, before moving to Cosmopolis in 1980.
While her three children were in school, she worked at Privatsky’s High School Store, sides jobs of using her Cosmetology License as a hair stylist in her home, cleaning other’s homes, as well as a few customer service jobs in Aberdeen.
She loved reading, doing puzzles and talking about the history of Grays Harbor and the “Good Ole Days.” But her favorite thing of all was spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her son Brian Caldwell (wife Angie) of Boise, Idaho; daughter, Kristina Waltee (husband Aaron) of Aberdeen; grandchildren, MacKayla Waltee, Rylie Waltee, Cameron Caldwell, and Mason Caldwell; as well as three siblings. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim; son Mark Caldwell; parents Albert and Lora; and grandson, Cameron Waltee.
No services will be held per her request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary.
