Ruth Ann (Gates) Bercier, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend, died Feb. 21, 2021, at her home in Las Vegas.

Ruth was born in Centralia, Washington, Nov. 29, 1949.

Ruth attended Lake Quinault School from 1st-12th grades.

While in high school Ruth was active in girls basketball. She was also elected to Evergreen Girls State.

Ruth was married Aug. 25, 1971, to Ronald Bercier. They made their home in Pasco, Washington and Olympia, Washington and eventually moved to Las Vegas, Nevada

Ruth is survived by two sons, Avery Bercier of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Kenneth Bercier (Chenoa Bercier) of Olympia, Washington and four stepchildren: Ron Bercier, Tammy Bercier, Terry Bercier and Sue Bercier. Ruth is also survived by eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Ruth is also survived by her mother Frances Gates and two brothers: Gordon Gates and Barry Gates all of Soap Lake, Washington; and one sister Rebecca (Gates) Blackburn of Aberdeen, Washington.

Ruth was preceded in death by her brother Gary Gates, her son Wesley Bercier, her husband Ronald Bercier and her father Avery Gates

A graveside side service will be held at Claquato Cemetery in Chehalis on April 17, 2021, at 11 a.m.
