Scott Roger Howarth was born in Shelton, Wash., on Valentine’s Day, Feb, 14, 1953, to Julian R. Howarth and Shirley Bailey Howarth. He passed away on Aug. 26, 2016, at the age of 63. He grew up living in McCleary, Wash., and graduated from Elma High School in 1971.
Scotty was everybody’s friend, and he really was. He was an outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing. He also was a volunteer fireman and an EMT and was with the ambulance during the car races at the fairgrounds. He was an avid fisherman and made many fishing rods and lures. He usually got his deer and elk. He started hunting with his father and brothers, and later with his best friend Mark Larson. Scott worked in the logging industry in many capacities, the last one was with NDC.
Scott is survived by his mother Shirley in Olympia, Wash.; daughter Cheryl Wibbenmeyer (Dan) and granddaughters Cheyenne and Charlotte; sister Roxanne Calbert (Billy) and sons; brother Greg Howarth and his wife Carol. Also his brother, Matt’s children. He was preceded in death by his father Juli Howarth and his brother Matt.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 1, 2016, in McCleary, Wash., at the VFW Hall. A donation in his name can be made to a charity of your choice.
