Sharon Ursula Johnson passed away at the age of 83 from a long battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Central Park on January 16, 2024. Heaven has gained an extra special angel. Mrs. Johnson was born on May 6, 1940, in Ellisburg, Pennsylvania to Anson D. and Margaret (Hile) Chapman.
She was raised in Pennsylvania and came to the Harbor in 1964. She graduated from Grays Harbor Beauty College and had her own business, Kalona’s Beauty Care doing home appointments for over 10 years.
She loved the outdoors, gardening, crafting, sewing, knitting, and traveling to see family.
She is survived by her husband John D. Johnson of the family home in Aberdeen; three daughters, Susan (Bob) Pringle of McCleary, Kay (Dan) Catron of Aberdeen and Jacqueline (Richard) Blanchard of Hoquiam; a stepson, Robert Johnson of Kansas and brother Lance (Linda) Chapman of Pendleton, Oregon; six grandchildren: Steve, Tonya, Betsy, Kyle, Ryan and Linzey; nine great-grandchildren: Noah, Layne Kay, Andrew, Kayleen, Anna, Renea, Kaylee, Alivia and Kaylee; and one great-great-grandchild, Grayson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anson D. and Margaret (Hile) Chapman; two grandchildren, Melissa Catron and Rhea Blanchard; two brothers, Donald Chapman and Dane Chapman and a sister, Joan Artlip.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Central Park Baptist Church in Aberdeen, Washington.
