Shawnie Ann Drake passed away at her home in Aberdeen, Washington on March 25, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on April 19, 1951, in Aberdeen to parents Donald David Shefler and Charlotte Ann (McPherson) Shefler. She was a graduate of Montesano High School and worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. On April 20,1991 she married David Drake of Hoquiam. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Aberdeen. She enjoyed attending family sporting events, camping and spending time with her loved ones.

Shawnie is survived by her husband, David Drake; sons Cyrus (Kim) Dohrmann of Elma, Washington and Ian (Jodie) Dohrmann of Carbonado, Washington; David’s sons, Mark and Matt Drake of Poulsbo, Washington; sister Mary Smith of Tacoma, Washington; and six grandchildren, Braden, Landree, Audree, Rylee, Maxx and Lakelyn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Charlotte Shefler; brothers David and John Shefler; and sister Carolyn Shefler.

There will be a celebration of life in Shawnie’s honor on Monday, May 12, at Cornerstone Church in Aberdeen at 2 p.m. All are welcome.
