Shirley Ann (Hale) Raffelson passed away Oct. 5, 2016. She was born in Fife, Wash. on Sept. 14, 1943. Her parents were George J. Hale and Hazel (Drew) Hale. While raising four children, she worked seasonally at G.H. Veneer, and tended bar in the off season.
Shirley is survived by her husband Rick Raffelson, her sister Vera (Rich) Wyninger, her brother George (Rita) Hale, her four children Etta (Bob) Beck, Rayline Theisen, Ed (Holly) Springer and Jerry (Denise) Greenland, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Shirley enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, camping, traveling and get-togethers.
She returned to school at age 40, to obtain her GED and Degree at G.H. College.
One year she drove to Alaska and then to Florida, visiting friends and family along the way.
Shirley lived life to the fullest. Illness caused her to be housebound for many years.
Her husband Rick and daughter Rayline were constant caregivers. Her granddaughter Trianna Theisen was backup/weekend caregiver.
At Shirley’s request there will be no funeral. The family plans a celebration of her life at 40 et 8 in Aberdeen on Nov. 12, 2016 at 2 p.m.
