Shirrel J. Koepp, 92, of Hoquiam, Washington died Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Swedish Cherry Hill Hospital following complications from a stroke on July 19, 2024.

Shirrel was born and raised in the Midwest. Shirrel graduated from Caristota High School in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart, Edward A. Koepp, on September 22, 1951.

Following the births of their three children Roxanne, Todd and Nikki, they moved to Hoquiam, Washington, where Ed worked for Sears and Shirrel worked for Wiitamaki Jewelry store until her retirement.

Together through the years they enjoyed cruises, trips to Reno, Nevada; and traveling to see family. They were members of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.

Shirrel enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and being the host lap for her special cat “Kitty.”

Special thank-yous go out to ASSURED Home Heath, and APOGEE Home Care for the gentle care they gave Shirrel, allowing her to stay in her home which was so very important to her.

Survived by siblings; Delbert Jr., and Charlotte, children; Todd Koepp (Erin) and Nikki Fielitz (Rick), and grandchildren; Monica, Amanda, Adam, Ashley, Alexander, Diana, Laura, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Shirrel was predeceased by her husband; Ed, daughter; Roxanne, and granddaughter; Brianna Sue.

As an added sad note, Shirrel’s daughter Nikki also passed away on July 23, a short 15 hours later.

Memorial services will take place at a later date.
