Our family has recently lost a very special man, Stanley Mitchel Laaksonen on Nov. 21, 2016 at the age of 90. He was born Feb. 22, 1926.

He left behind his wife, Corene, of 67 years; daughters Laura Mink and Susan Shrable; son Bruce (Mollie) Laaksonen; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stanley will be forever missed, and will always have a special place in all of our hearts. “Our memories of you will forever be cherished. May you Rest In Peace and watch over us until we meet again.”

Stanley’s family will gather at 2 p.m. Dec. 16, 2016 at Fern Hill Cemetery for his interment. Stanley’s wife Corene and children invite family and friends to join in a Celebration of Stanley’s Life at the Aberdeen Elks Club on Jan. 28, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please join us and share your favorite memories.
