Thomas Robert Seguin Jr., age 79, a lifetime resident of Aberdeen passed away at Swedish Hospital on Oct. 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. Tom graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1963 and shortly after married the love of his life Karen Bebich Seguin.
Tom loved to work. He was the general manager for Swansons Grocery Store for the past 18 years and most recently was the manager who created the stores weekly ads up until his death. He previously held management positions at Crown Distributing and Coca Cola.
Tom and Karen had two children, Teri Jo and Jeffrey Seguin, both of Aberdeen. Their home was always filled with food, family, friends and animals. Tom loved his animals. He went on walks twice a day with his dogs Kai and Jango — even the neighbor dog tagged along most days. His grand-pups and great-grand-pups loved his Sunday visits when he came over to walk with them too.
He enjoyed golfing and had many buddies he golfed with over the years including his son and grandsons at Highland Golf Course. He had a standing Saturday night dinner date with his best friends Bill and Susie Swantek and several other friends.
Tom had a wit about him that could only be matched by his brother.
Tom will be greatly missed by many but mostly those closest that he leaves behind — daughter Teri Jo, son Jeffrey (Christina), three grandchildren Monika, AJ (Abbi) and Logen Seguin, all of Aberdeen, twin great-granddaughters Alivia and Audrey Seguin, his brother Nick (Debra) Seguin of Olympia and countless friends and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his wife Karen, and parents Tom and Gloria Seguin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Elks Lodge #593 1712 S Boone St. Aberdeen on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Special thanks to The Swansons Grocery store family for their generous donations of food and love during this difficult time.
