Wesley Beaumont McCormick
Wesley Beaumont McCormick, 83, Aberdeen resident and former owner of Ted’s Radiator Service, died Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia.
Wes was born on July 14, 1936, in Algona, Washington to William Beaumont and Lillian Elizabeth (Breedlove) McCormick. His family moved to the Aberdeen area when he was a teenager, and he attended Hoquiam High School where he played trumpet in the school band. He worked in the timber industry as a choker setter for many years. On May 11, 1962, Wesley married Carman Ada Keepers in Aberdeen. She passed away on April 25, 2004. Wes enjoyed metal detecting, rock hounding and anything that required being outdoors.
Wesley is survived by three sons, Wesley B. McCormick of Hoquiam, Patrick “Mike” (Silvia) McCormick of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Larry LeRoy McCormick of Cle Elem, Washington; daughters, Bessie Mae (Timothy) Thompson of South Bend, Washington and Cynthia “Cindy” (Gary) Bratt of Shelton, Washington; brothers, Larry Gene (Pat) McCormick of Humptulips, Washington and Ralph “Buzz” William McCormick of Ocean Shores, Washington; grandchildren, Sara, Wesley III, Tanya, Shannon, Magan, Colten, Mikenzy, Laura Lee, Tyler and Bessie; great-grandchildren, Cody, Sybella and Jacob. Wesley was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Dey.
There will be a celebration of Wesley’s life when all can attend.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
