William Allen “Bill” Crowder, age 72, a resident of Aberdeen, died on Oct. 1, 2023, at his home in Aberdeen.

William Allen “Bill” Crowder, age 72, a resident of Aberdeen, died on Oct. 1, 2023, at his home in Aberdeen.

Mr. Crowder was born on Aug. 15, 1951, in Aberdeen to Allen M. and Irene L. (Katerman) Crowder. He was raised in Aberdeen and attended Robert Gray and Stevens Elementary schools, Miller Jr. High and graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1969.

In 1974, he and Karen Cosby were married but later divorced.

He began working for E.C. Miller Lumber, then went to work for Silvan Construction. Bill finished his working career working for Swanson’s Markets, retiring in 2017.

Mr. Crowder had been a member of the Aberdeen Eagles for over 20 years and was a past president.

Surviving family members include his two sons, Tony Crowder of Aberdeen and Tim Crowder and his wife Brooke Olson of Aberdeen; four grandchildren, Peyton, Kaylei, Emmett and Emma Crowder; two siblings, Fred and Bobbie Crowder of Tigard, Oregon and Deborah Lynn Crowder-Thayer of Everett; and one sister-in-law, Debbie Crowder. The extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews and cousins in Washington, Oregon and Kentucky

A son, James Crowder; a brother, Ronald Crowder and a sister, Darlene Dewald died previously.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced later.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
