Loving son, father and friend, William “Bill” Henry Griggs lost his battle with cancer Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, surrounded by his family and loved ones at his home in Aberdeen, Washington, he was 66 years old. Bill was born on Jan. 19, 1954, to William and Helen Griggs in Aberdeen.
He had lived his whole life in Aberdeen. When Bill was old enough, he went to work at a local sawmill for several years and then became self-employed as a handyman for the rest of his working years. In his spare time Bill very much enjoyed going fishing and going out to casinos. He was a very outgoing person and enjoyed giving a helping hand to loved ones and strangers alike. He also attended services at a local Baptist church.
Bill is survived by his mother, Helen Griggs of Aberdeen; son Shawn Holmen of Aberdeen; brothers, Noel Griggs of Michigan and Clivy Griggs of Ohio; and by his sisters, Christine Anderson of Port Orchard, Becky Forsman of Arlington, Debbie Jacobson of Aberdeen, Peggy Douglas of Ohio, and Linda Darling of Ohio.
