William “Chuck” Ayres, 75 years of age and resident of Montesano, Wash., passed away at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2017. Chuck was born Dec. 6, 1941, in Glidden, Iowa, to parents Lester and Ruth Ayres. In 1957, Chuck moved out to Montesano with his father and five years later, on Feb. 2, 1963, wed Nancy Marie Brandt. He died just two days before their 54th wedding anniversary.
Chuck was a mechanic in the auto and commercial transportation business his entire life. In his free time, Chuck enjoyed spending his time with family hunting, fishing, gardening, family barbecues, watching the Seahawks & Mariners games.
Chuck is survived by his wife Nancy Ayres; children Reona (Dale) Dierick, Patrick (Tami) Ayres, Daniel Ayres, and Renae (Chris) Short; grandchildren Richard & Steven Gleeson, Patrick & Katie Ayres, Evan & Micah Short; great-grandchildren Jessyca & Ryder Gleeson; nine siblings Frank Ayres, Linda Lee, Paul Tillie, Ken Ayres, Rena Ayres, Karen Carlson, John Brogan, Mikey Brogan, and Louie Brogan; mother-in-law Donna Hamilton; and an abundance of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
His big heart and humorous spirit will be missed.
