Do you know of a Hoquiam School District staff member who made a substantial and significant contribution to the district over the course of a 20-year career? How about a community member who also made a substantial or significant contribution to the district for 10 years or more?

In 2015, our inaugural year, the Hoquiam School Board inducted Paul McMillan, Ada Spencer, Gary Geddes, Paul Macan, John (Dan) Descher, Christy Gregory, Pat Wingert, Rich Wingert and Stan Pinnick.

In 2016, John “Pistol” Perry and Larry Jones were inducted during halftime at the Hoquiam/Montesano game.

In 2017, Yvonne Jump, Ken Linder, and Melvin Thompson were inducted at the Aberdeen/Hoquiam football game.

The Hoquiam School District is soliciting nominations for the next class of inductees into the Wall of Distinction located in the Hoquiam High School Student Center. Nomination forms are available on the school district web site or in the schools and district offices.

Nominations are due in the district office by 4 p.m. June 1. Please take a moment to thank someone who has made a difference in Hoquiam!
