Dossier Fruity Oakmoss: The Dossier Aventus Dupe

This isn’t bad, and it does get the top notes, but Aventus has been formulated much better by other dupe makers (yes, we mean LS Colognes). Dossier’s staying power doesn’t last long, and the base notes don’t cut through nearly as well as the original, leaving you with a much more juvenile and slightly brighter scent than the original. Now, will some say it’s a dead ringer for the original, but probably not. Will others notice a whiff of it while passing by? Probably not. It’s not quite up to the designer perfume standard that the original luxury brand Creed offers.

Dossier Aromatic Star Anise: Dossier Sauvage Dupe

Inspired by the popular Dior Sauvage (the more popular and iconic EDP than the rather base note-heavy parfum), Dossier Aromatic Star Anise is a captivating fragrance that exudes masculinity and sophistication. Part of that is that it’s competing with an EDP rather than a parfum strength product. Dossier is probably the best alternative to designer perfume for Sauvage. It’ll keep you smelling good for about 4 hours. The projection is pretty solid, too; all in all, it’s a good dupe.

Dossier Ambery Saffron – Dossier 540 Dupe

And again, with the original Baccarat Rouge 540, we have a complex designer perfume that smells amazing for quite a long time. And it’s another stumbling block with Dossier. It’s not bad, but they can’t capture the complexity of the original designer fragrances. The middle notes and even the top notes don’t catch in the right way, and they fade quickly to the muskier bottom notes. It’s quite nice all the same, but this is another case of LS Colognes having done it much better. When we’re looking to the high-end perfumes, Dossier does a lot better with Tom Ford Perfume dupes, which are a fair bit less complex.

Dossier Ambery Vanilla: Dosier Black Opium

For those who love the warm and comforting scent of YSL Black Opium, Dossier Ambery Vanilla is a must-try. Do We Recommend Dossier Perfume?

Well sort of, we generally recommend LS Colognes, they are better for almost all of the dupes they offer, but Dossier do have a larger range.

The difference is that LS colognes have a better projection, staying power, and smell closer to the originals. They’re even slightly cheaper, but Dossier Perfume does have a much wider range. So, in short, if you can get it with LS then do, if you can’t then get it from Dossier.

The Dossier collection is a pretty good addition to the fragrance world. Their dupes are good, and they are one of the better budget alternatives on the market right now. We’d say they do a fair bit better than the popular Zara perfume dupes, and many smell a lot like the original, at least for the first 2-3 hours when they are used.

But, there are better options for some of the bigger name fragrances like Aventus and 540 that have been done by dupe makers like LS Colognes, who we rated as the best clone manufacturer for 2024.
