WESTPORT — Zach Allton, Ocosta’s all-time career scoring leader in boys basketball, will continue his hoop career at Corban College in Salem, Ore.
The Ocosta High senior signed a basketball letter of intent with Corban on Wednesday. Corban is an NAIA school that is part of the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Despite missing the final seven games of the 2017-18 campaign due to injury, Allton finished his Ocosta basketball career with a record 1,077 points. A four-year letterwinner at guard, he also set a school record in career steals with 160.
He received first-team recognition on the all-Pacific 2B League team on three occasions. A standout in other sports, he is currently a key performer on the Wildcat baseball team.
The son of Mike and Carrie Allton, Zach possesses a 3.75 grade point average. He intends to major in exercise science at Corban.
