Montesano 8, Chief Leschi 0
Montesano snapped a rare two-game skid with an 8-0 win over Chief Leschi on Friday in Puyallup.
The Bulldogs (10-3, 10-3 1A Evergreen) wasted little time scoring against the lowly Warriors (0-10, 0-10), jumping out to a 3-0 lead on a pair of goals by senior forward Felix Romero and goal from junior forward Cooper Delia in the first 15 minutes of play.
Goals by sophomore forward Brady Whipple, junior defender Isac Hawkins and sophomore midfielder Peter Bruland put Monte up by a comfortable 6-0 at the half.
Bulldogs defender Miles Perry scored off an assist from Romero in the 52nd minute with Delia netting his second of the game thanks to a feed from senior midfielder Gaby Pyhala to round out the scoring.
The win snaps a two-game slide for Montesano, which had lost two in a row for the first time this season entering the game.
