Elma soccer players Andy Salvatierra and René Duran earned top honors as the 1A Evergreen League announced its all-league boys soccer team Thursday.
Salvatierra was named the league’s Goalkeeper of the Year, while Duran took Defensive Player of the Year honors as eight Eagles in all were named to the all-league list.
Joining Salvatierra and Duran on the First Team are Canon Seaberg, Manny Hernandeaz, Abel Alatorre, Rodrigo Luna and Jace Poston.
Elma freshman Cason Seaberg was named to the league’s Honorable Mention list.
League-champion Forks had seven players named to the all-league team, led by the league’s Offensive Player of the Year, Tony Flores-Hernandez.
Three Montesano Bulldogs — Veli Ambrocio, Mateo Sanchez and Jared Peterson — were named to the First Team as was Hoquiam’s Alan Ramirez and Kolby Skolrood.
Raymond-South Bend goal keeper Oscar Juarez was also honored with an all-league nomination.
