A shortened prep baseball season is winding down as Twin Harbors-area teams completed their regular season schedules on Friday ahead of next week’s district playoffs.
WF West 10, Aberdeen 0
Aberdeen (3-8 overall, 4-8 2A Evergreen) struggled against second-place WF West, falling 10-0 in five innings on Friday in Chehalis.
Aberdeen trailed 1-0 after two inning but ran into trouble in the third. WF West scored six runs in the frame, helped by four walks, a hit batter and an Aberdeen error to take a 7-0 lead.
The Bobcats lost after the Bearcats scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth on two singles, two walks and an error to end the game via 10-run rule.
Three Aberdeen errors in the game led to four unearned runs as Aberdeen starter Hunter Eisele (2.1IP, 5ER, 7H, 2K, 5BB) and reliever Maliki Balesteri (2.1IP, ER, 3H, 2BB) combined to allow 10 runs on eight hits with seven walks.
Eisele took the loss for the Bobcats.
Aberdeen’s offense managed four hits — all singles — off WF West starter Gavin Fugate (4IP, 3H, 7K, BB) and reliever Andrew Stafford (IP, H), with Fugate picking up the victory.
Fugate led the Bearcats (9-2, 9-1) at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI.

Montesano 6, Hoquiam 3
Montesano completed an undefeated league season with a 6-3 victory over Hoquiam on Friday in Montesano.
After Troy McMinn gave Hoquiam an early 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the top of the first, the Bulldogs responded with three runs in the bottom of the second on a bases-loaded walk from Dylan Schoch followed by a two-run single off the bat of Jaeger Didion.
Hoquiam (2-8, 2-7 1A Evergreen) cut the lead to 3-2 in the top of the fourth when Zander Jump scored on an error off a hard ground ball from Cayden Kemp.
The game remained a one-run contest until the bottom of the fifth when Monte’s Jack Anderson belted a leadoff home run to left field for a 4-2 lead.
The Bulldogs scored two more runs on an RBI ground out from Tyler Johansen to score Trace Ridgway followed by Isaiah Pierce scoring Monte’s sixth run on an error.
Malaki Osbekoff (2-3, R), Anderson (1-4, HR, R, RBI), Pierce (1-1, 2B, R) and Didion (1-1, 2RBI) led Monte’s offense, which scored four earned runs on seven hits.
Hoquiam was led by McMinn (2-3, RBI) and Jump (2-3, 3R) as the Grizzlies scored one earned run on seven hits in the game.
Didion picked up the win, allowing two runs (none earned) on three hits with four strikeouts in four innings pitched.
Jackson Busz earned the save for Monte, allowing one earned run on four hits, a walk and a strikeout in three innings pitched.
Hoquiam’s Riley Montour took the loss, allowing three earned runs on two hits and four walks in an inning pitched.
Chris Bryson threw the final five innings for Hoquiam, allowing an earned runs on five hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
With the win, Montesano completed its regular season with an 11-2 overall record and a perfect 9-0 record in 1A Evergreen League play.

Elma 11, Tenino 6
The Elma Eagles offense hammered Tenino pitching en route to an 11-6 victory on Friday in Tenino.
Brady Johnston had four hits and Justin Elliott drove in four runs as the stout Elma offense totalled 14 hits in the game, with 10 different Eagles collecting base hits.
Elma (7-4, 5-4 1A Evergreen) scored a pair of runs in each of the first two innings, a run in the third, two in the sixth and four in the seventh.
Johnston (4-5, 2R), Elliott (2-4, 2B, 4RBI), Clay McBride (2-3, R) and Brett Palmer (2-4, R, RBI) had multi-hit games for the Eagles while leadoff hitter JT Tiffany (1-4, 2R, 3RBI) drove in three runs for Elma.
Elma used four pitchers in the game, with starter Cobey Moore picking up with win, allowing no runs on one hit with a walk and three strikeouts in two innings pitched.
