Legendary Willapa Valley head coach Tom Betrozoff earned one of the state’s top honors as he will be inducted into the Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association’s 2025 Hall of Fame class.
Betrozoff, who coached Vikings girls hoops for over two decades, will be inducted at a ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Schirmir Auditorium at King’s High School in Seattle.
There will be a dinner banquet followed by the induction ceremony. Admission is $50 ($60 at the door).
Joining Betrozoff as 2025 Hall of Fame inductees will be Bruce Evans (Woodway, Edmonds Woodway), Penny Gienger (Bainbridge Island, Kingston, North Kitsap), Ken Roberts (Snohomish) and Shane Wichers (Nooksack Valley).
In his 23-year coaching career, Betrozoff went 395-186 with seven league championships, 21 district-qualifying teams and reached the state tournament 10 times, earning five state trophies finishing as high as second place in the state.
Betrozoff was named one of the District B top coaches of all time in 2002.
