Gilbert matched goose eggs with Ilwaco ace Megan Dille for six innings in the game that featured two of the 2B class’ premiere pitchers.
In the bottom of the seventh, Gilbert sent Dille’s 1-1 pitch over the left field fence to end the game and set off a Wildcats celebration at home plate.
Gilbert also dominated in the circle, allowing just two hits and a walk while striking out 20 of the 24 batters she faced.

Dille held Ocosta (3-1) to just two hits in the game on eight strikeouts and a pair of walks.
