Montesano’s Lawyer Niemi wins boys 8-9 year-old competition at Elks Hoop Shoot state championships

Lawyer Niemi of Montesano won the state championship of the Elks Hoop Shoot Saturday at St. Martin’s University in Lacey.
Niemi sank 21-of-25 free throws to win the boys 8-9 year-old competition.
Niemi advances to the regional competition featuring state champions from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska at Kamiakin High School.
