Hoquiam’s scoring woes continued in a 65-24 loss to Capital on Monday in Hoquiam.

Nicole Lindblom scored 23 points to lead Capital (7-1 overall), which led by 14 after the first quarter.

Hoquiam (0-6) was led by Sharaya Brydon, who scored eight points and six rebounds.

Despite the loss, Hoquiam head coach Chad Allan said he’s seeing improvments in his team’s play.

Maddie German scored five points for Hoquiam.

“(We) received a great opportunity to improve against a solid, well-coached Capital team,” he said. “The Grizzlies are showing weekly improvements in ball movement and defense in spurts. All players are working hard to improve.
