WESTPORT — Erika Snider pitched a three-inning perfect game as Ocosta crushed Ilwaco in a Pacific League contest Monday at Dorland Park.
Snider struck seven of the nine batters she faced. Her teammates, meanwhile, sandwiched 10 hits around 10 walks in closing out the contest via the 15-run mercy rule.
“We were patient at the plate,” Ocosta coach Jason Barnum said. “(Their pitcher) didn’t throw many strikes. But when she did, we made good contact and put the ball in play.”
Kaylee Barnum had three hits, including a double, for the Wildcats (6-0, 15-1).
Ocosta is scheduled to host North Beach today.

Hyaks 19, Indians 2
OYEHUT — Jessy Garman delivered three hits and Hannah Avery homered as North Beach trounced South Bend on Monday in a Pacific League game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule.
Although played in Oyehut, South Bend was the home team.
The Hyaks (5-1, 8-2) scored multiple runs in each of the first four innings. In addition to collecting 11 hits, they stole 12 bases.
Avery, who had four of the thefts, also pitched three hitless innings to pick up the victory. Aaliyah Newton tripled twice for the Hyaks.
Both teams will next travel to Ocosta. North Beach is scheduled to visit the Wildcats today. The Indians (1-4, 2-8) journey to Westport on Thursday.

Bulldogs JV 3, Wildcats 2
WESTPORT — Montesano junior varsity rallied to score two runs in the top of the seventh inning and defeat Ocosta in a non-league game at GAR Park on Monday.
The Wildcats (10-5) committed several costly errors in the contest, none more costly than an error to allow the tying run to score in the seventh inning. Montesano’s Ben Wills singled to drive in the game-winning run in the next at bat to give the Bulldogs the victory.
“The bright spots in this game was Jose Sevilla getting a solid five innings of work and I was really happy with Matthew Hart’s day at the plate,” Ocosta head coach Mike Allton said.
Ocosta hosts North Beach for a doubleheader today.

GIRLS GOLF
Bobcats 92, Bearcats 60
Three players scored at least 20 points as Aberdeen thumped Chehalis in an Evergreen 2A Conference match Monday at Grays Harbor Country Club.
Aberdeen’s Haley Farrer amassed 24 points under the Stableford Scoring System to take medalist honors. MacKayla Waltee added 21 points and Mari Rabung 20 for the Bobcats.
“The girls were a little frustrated with their play last Friday. They came out today with a little more focus,” Bobcat coach Dan Sundstrom said. We did have three girls score in the 20s, but it seems to be different girls each match. One of these matches, all the girls will score in the 20s.”
The Bobcats visit rival Hoquiam today at Highland Golf Course.
