Montesano’s Jessica Stanfield earned her second league MVP award of the school year as Bulldogs third basemen was named the 1A Evergreen League Softball Offensive MVP on Thursday.
Stanfield led Montesano to a 1A District 4 championship and broke the regular-season school record for home runs in a season with 10 in 2021.
It’s the second league MVP award for the Montesano senior as she was named the 1A Evergreen League volleyball MVP earlier this year.
The league-champion Bulldogs garnered the most all-league honors, with eight total players being named to the all-league list, four of those being First Team awards.
Tenino, which finished second with seven players named all-league, was led by pitcher Emily Baxter, who was named the league’s Defensive MVP.
Hoquiam had four players named to the First Team with the Elma Eagles tallying two First Team honors.
