Montesano pitcher Lindsay Pace and Elma infielder Destry Dineen took top honors as the 1A Evergreen League announced its all-league softball team on Monday.
Pace, who shouldered the load in the circle for league-champion Montesano, posted a 4.02 earned-run average, allowing 63 earned runs while striking out 148 batters over 109 2/3 innings pitched this season.
Dineen was named the league’s top offensive player after leading the Eagles with a .522 batting average, 12 doubles and 19 RBI this season. The senior also sported a .521 on-base percentage and a 1.267 slugging percentage for Elma’s high-powered offense.
Elma had the most players named to the league’s First Team. Quin Mikel, Kali Rambo, Molly Johnston and Olivia Cain were all named to the league’s top squad.
Monte had three players named to the first team, with Kate Klinger, Jessica Stanfield and Matti Ekerson honored by the league’s coaches.
The Hoquiam Grizzlies also had three players named First Team. Mia Jump, Jade Cox and Kylee Bagwell were honored with First Teamselections.
