Ocosta standout senior Andrew Martin signed a Letter of Intent to play baseball for Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon.
Joining his travel-ball teammate in Rochester High School’s Mason Ubias and surrounded by coaches, family and friends, Martin inked a committment to play for the Timberwolves at a signing ceremony held at Multi-Sport 360 in Montesano.
A three-sport standout for the Wildcats throughout his prep career, Martin excelled for head coach Mike Allton’s baseball team. Martin was named First Team All-Pacific League in his junior and senior years, hitting .549 with 10 doubles, 25 runs and 20 RBI this past season.
“I am thankful for my coaches and family that have supported me, I’m looking forward to playing some ball,” said Martin, whose parents Steve and Lynn Martin were “excited to see where this opportunity takes him.”
Ubias made the 2A Evergreen All-Conference First Team his junior and senior years, hitting .321 with 22 runs and 10 RBI for the Warriors this past season.
“I’m excited for this journey,” said Ubias, joined by parents Nick and Staci Ubias. “I have always wanted to play at the next level. Thanks for all the support from my family and coaches.”
