In a rare pre-Labor Day start, Twin Harbors football teams will open their seasons this weekend.

Montesano will visit Aberdeen in perhaps the featured attraction of seven non-league games Friday night.

Hoquiam will travel to Chehalis, Elma visits Eatonville, Raymond entertains reigning state Class 2B champion Napavine, South Bend journeys to Winlock, North Beach is home against Rainier and Ocosta travels to Chief Leschi in other Friday night affairs. The kickoffs on all Friday games are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Pe Ell-Willapa Valley faces Adna in a 1 p.m. Saturday game at Menlo’s Crogstad Field.

The opening-week games will be previewed in greater detail in Thursday’s edition. The Daily World’s annual Football Tab, with previews and photos of all area teams, will also appear Thursday.
