Aberdeen lost to Tumwater via a tiebreaker on Monday in Tumwater.
Bobcats singles players Sophie Knutson, Kensie Ervin and Madi Ritter won their singles matches while Tumwater swept three doubles matches to end in a 3-3 tie.
Tumwater won the tiebreaker of games won 53-40 to earn the victory.
“I’m seeing improvement up and down the ladder, and to be this competitive with a tough Tumwater team shows our growth,” Aberdeen head coach Ashley Kohlmeier said. “All three Bobcats singles played smart and clean, just what I want to see a week away from the postseason.”

Aberdeen 6, Hoquiam 0
Aberdeen swept all matches against Hoquiam for a 6-0 win on Friday in Aberdeen.
In just the second meeting of the Myrtle Street Rivals since the return of the Hoquiam program last season after a long layoff, the Bobcats won all six matches, including a 72-9 advantage in total games.
“I was happy with our play overall. We played clean, efficient tennis,” Aberdeen head coach Ashley Kohlmeier said. “We’ve been working hard as of late to minimize unforced errors, and it was nice to see the effects of that work on the court.”

Wahkiakum 7, Ocosta 5
Ocosta lost in extra innings 7-5 to Wahkiakum on Monday in Westport.
The Wildcats (5-10 overall) trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh when two critical Mules errors in the inning led to Ocosta’s Bryan Ceja crossing the plate with the tying run.
In the top of the 10th, Wahkiakum opened the inning with four straight singles to take a 7-5 lead.
In the bottom of the 10th, Ocosta failed to scored despite drawing four straight walks in the inning, with Mules pitcher Cooper Carlson striking out Kevin Lopez with the bases loaded to end the game.
Ocosta starting pitcher Dominick Hanson-Miranda allowed four runs – three earned – on four hits and four walks with a strikeout in four innings pitched.
Wildcats reliever Troy Griffith allowed three runs – two earned – on eight hits and two walks in 5 2-3 innings pitched to take the loss.
Ocosta first baseman Caden Arbona had two hits and drove in three runs while center fielder Logan White had two hits and scored twice to lead the Wildcats offense.
The two teams combined for 12 errors, leading to six unearned runs in the game.
Ocosta takes on Oakville at 4 p.m. on Thursday in Oakville.
