The Bobcats right-hander allowed a walk to Kailey Miller with two outs in the seventh before completing the no-hitter on a comebacker by Madi Malone.

Aberdeen third baseman Ally Adams got the Bobcats on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the second.

The Cats gave Camp a 4-0 cushion with three runs in the third on run-scoring singles by first baseman Maysinn Jones and Adams followed by an RBI ground out by center fielder Rylee Hendrickson.

Montesano 4, Battle Ground 3

Montesano showed its depth as reserves figured prominently in a 4-3 victory over Battle Ground on Friday at Dick Tagman Field in Montesano.

The Bulldogs (6-3) and 4A-class Tigers (2-5-1) were tied at 3-3 in extra innings where Montesano’s bench players came through in the clutch.

Monte’s Preslee Barrett came off the bench to leadoff the bottom of the eighth with a pinch-hit double down the left field line and was replaced by pinch-runner Ember Jones, who promptly stole third on a fake bunt attempt by Regan Wintrip.

With Jones representing the winning run and the Tigers defense pulled in, Wintrip laced a one-hop single to right field. Jones beat the throw home to secure Montesano’s walk-off victory.

Grace Gooding got Monte on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the third.

The Bulldogs fell behind after Battle Ground scored on a bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch in the top of the fourth followed by third Tigers run crossing the plate on a wild pitch by freshman pitcher Violet Prince.

Monte tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI single by Kennedy Campbell and a run-scoring fielder’s choice ground ball off the bat of catcher Ali Parkin.

Prince continued to impress in the circle, allowing three runs – one earned – on four hits and five walks with 11 strikeouts in eight innings pitched.

“Overall a great team win,” Monte head coach Pat Pace said. “Several players came off the bench to contribute through the game.”

Montesano faces another tough non-league test when it hosts Pe Ell-Willapa Valley at 6 p.m. on Monday.
