Hoquiam 16, Cedar Park Christian 5
Hoquiam continues to hammer other teams as evidenced by a 16-5 dispatching of Cedar Park Christian in five innings on Friday in Montesano.
The Grizzlies (13-3 overall) pounded 14 hits led by two of its standout all-state candidates. Senior shortstop Graci Bonney-Spradlin and senior catcher Faith Prosch led the Hoquiam attack with three hits apiece. Bonney-Spradlin also drove in three runs with Prosch doubling and driving in a run.
As has been the case during its current 12-game win streak, Bonney-Spradlin and Prosch had plenty of help.
Outfielders Ashlinn Cady and Chloe Deitrick had two hits apiece while ace pitcher Carron Blood tripled and drove in three runs for Hoquiam.
Blood earned the win, allowing five runs on eight hits with seven walks and four strikeouts in five innings pitched.
Hoquiam will close out the regular season against Elma at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Elma.

Aberdeen 7, Centralia 4
And just like that, Aberdeen is alone atop the 2A Evergreen League.
The Bobcats rallied to score three runs in the top of the seventh to defeat Centralia 7-4 on Friday in Chehalis, taking sole possession of first place in the process.
Aberdeen (11-7, 8-3 2A Evergreen) trailed 1-0 until the top of the fifth inning, when the Bobcats erupted for four runs.
Aili Scott led off and reached on an error and scored on a double by Laynie Yakovich to tie the game.
Alyssa Yakovich followed with a double, scoring Laynie for a 2-1 lead.
With one out, pitcher Lilly Camp drove in Alyssa with a single for a 3-1 advantage.
Britten Neal gave Aberdeen a three-run lead by driving in courtesy runner Rylee Hendrickson with the Cats’ third double of the frame.
Camp ran into trouble in the bottom of the fifth, allowing a double and a walk with two outs. Jimena Luis the drove Camp’s first pitch over the center field wall for a three-run home run, tying the game at 4-all.
With two outs and nobody on in the top of the seventh, Shyanna Patrick singled followed by a Neal walk.
Abby Mainio singled to score Patrick and give Aberdeen a 5-4 lead.
Scotlyn Lecomte stepped to the plate and provided the Bobcats with some insurance, singling to drive in Neal and Mainio for a 7-4 lead.
After allowing a leadoff single in the bottom of the seventh, Camp got the next three outs to end the game.
With the victory Aberdeen sits a half game ahead of Tumwater for first place in the 2A Evergreen League.
Aberdeen plays at W.F. West at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and will need a win and a Tumwater loss in one of the Thunderbirds final two league games to secure the league’s top spot.

Montesano 4, Blaine 1
Montesano pitcher Riley Timmons was in top form on Saturday, leading the Bulldogs to a 4-1 win over Blaine in a non-league matchup in Montesano.
Timmons took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before losing it on a one-out single to Shaylie Daniels.
The Bulldogs junior right-hander allowed one earned run on two hits, three walks with 11 strikeouts in the complete-game performance against the Borderites (16-2), the state’s second-ranked 1A team.
Monte’s offense collected eight hits in the win, led by Alexa Stanfield (2-2, RBI).
The Bulldogs (14-4) scored three in the bottom of the third on a Jordan Karr single, an Ali Parkin sacrifice fly and an Addi Kersker single.
Monte took a 4-0 lead on a Stanfield RBI single to score Ember Jones in the fourth inning.
Monte hosts Pe Ell-Willapa Valley at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
