Alexis Keating qualifies for LPGA Q School Stage II

Elma native Alexis Keating, who graduated from the University of Colorado in May, finished in a tie for 46th place at the LPGA and Symetra Tour Stage I Q School tournament at Rancho Mirage, Calif.

The top-90 finishers, including Keating, will move on to Stage II tournament on Oct. 20-23 at Plantation Golf &Country Club in Venice, Fla. Keating also qualified for a Symetra Tour card for the 2017 season.

Keating shot 3-over in 72 holes, shooting a 1-under on the final day to secure her spot.
