Special Olympic basketball game tonight at Miller Jr. High School
There will be an exhibition basketball game at 6 p.m. tonight (Friday) at Miller Jr. High School in Aberdeen to celebrate Aberdeen Special Olympics.
Aberdeen’s Special Olympians, which have been unable to compete over the past two seasons due to COVID-related cancellations of Special Olympics events, will be taking on the Miller Jr. High School basketball team in an exhibition game to celebrate Special Olympics.
Entrance to the event is free of charge and the public is welcome to attend.
“They have been cut out of their games and tournaments for almost two years,” Miller head coach Jimmy McDaniel said. “Just having fans to support those kids would mean a lot to them.”
