SPOKANE — Almira-Coulee-Hartline’s boys and girls teams both ushered their Taholah counterparts out of the state 1B basketball tournaments on Wednesday.
In control from the outset, Almira-Coulee/Hartline eliminated Taholah’s boys, 69-40, in the single-elimination opening round at the Spokane Arena.
Later in the day, the ACH girls knocked out Taholah, 57-25.
Taholah’s boys ended the season with a 19-4 record. The Taholah girls concluded their campaign at 17-6.
Almira-Coulee Hartline’s boys led Taholah 14-5 after one quarter and 31-19 at the half.
After a respectable first quarter in which they trailed only 17-11, Taholah’s girls went scoreless in the second period while ACH racked up 21 points for a 38-11 halftime lead.
