Three Montesano Bulldogs named to 1A All-State Football Team

Bodwell, Damasiewicz, Taylor named to state’s top squad

Three Montesano Bulldogs earned the state’s highest football honor after being named to the Washington State Football Coaches Association’s All-State First Team for the 1A classification.

Monte senior Gabe Bodwell, Peyton Damasiewicz and Cam Taylor were each named to the state’s top squad after leading the Bulldogs to a 10-1 season and 1A Evergreen League title.

Bodwell was named as a First Team running back after rushing for 1,444 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, earning him the 1A Evergreen League MVP in the process.

One of Bodwell’s top blockers, Taylor earned a spot as an all-state offensive lineman.

Damasiewicz earned an all-state nod as a linebacker after recording 60 tackles, six sacks and three fumble recoveries through 10 games this past season.
