Multiple Twin Harbors area school competed in their respective track and field sub-district meets on Friday, May 13, with North Beach sweeping the boys and girls team titles at the Pacific League Championships while the Montesano girls team won the 1A Evergreen title.
1A Evergreen Sub-District Championships
Montesano’s girls team won the league title at the 1A Evergreen Sub-District Championships on Friday at Montesano High School.
The Bulldogs won 10 events en route to 254 points, easily outpacing second-place Hoquiam (104) and third-place Eatonville (85).
Lilly Causey (100, 200), Jaiden King (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles) and Alayna Olson (long jump, triple jump) all won multiple events for Montesano.
Hoquiam was led by Jane Roloff (1,600, 3,200) and Tyara Straka (shot put, discus), each of whom won two league titles at the meet.
Elma’s girls team got an event win as Meara Baxter won the girls high jump title (4-04).
Eatonville won the boys title with 231 points with Montesano (94) and Tenino (74) placing second and third, respectively.
Montesano distance runner Aric Jacklin won both the boys 1,600 and 3,200 to pace the Bulldogs.
Hoquiam got an event win from Timmy Higgins in the 400, while Elma’s Elijah Flores won the league’s triple jump crown.

2B Pacific League Championships
North Beach swept both the boys and girls team titles at the Pacific League Championships on Friday in Raymond.
Led by a win in the long jump from Josh Bighead, North Beach’s boys team scored 152 points.
Ocosta and Raymond tied for second with 99 points apiece.
Multiple event winners at the meet included Ocosta’s William Idso (100, 200 meter races) and Matthew Idso (400, 800) and Raymond’s Tre’ Seydel (300 hurdles, high jump).
The Hyaks girls scored 140 points to win the league title, led by Isabella Faris, who won both the 400 and 800.
Raymond’s Kyra Gardner won four events (100 hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump) to pace a Seagulls team that placed second with 127.5 points.

2A Evergreen Championships
Led by multi-event winners Andrew Troeh and Julian Campos, the Aberdeen boys track and field team placed second at the Evergreen League Championships on Friday in Centralia.
Troeh won the league title in the high jump and triple jump, while Campos earned victories in both the 1,600 and 3,200-meter races.
Aberdeen finished with 131 points, just four points behind league champion Tumwater and well ahead of third-place WF West (89 points).
Aberdeen’s girls team placed fifth with 22 points.
