Gulls 38, Hyaks 27
RAYMOND —Raymond’s girls struggled to score but their defense carried them to a Pacific 2B League victory over North Beach on Tuesday night.
The Gulls had trouble containing Adelina Desamours, who scored 22 points. But only one other Hyak scored.
Raymond got its best offensive effort from Hannah Miller, who led the team with 16 points and shot 8-of-10 from the field.
Jason Koski said he was glad his team played well in other areas on a disappointing shooting night.
“We were lackluster on offense for most of the game, but the defense was good and so was the rebounding,” he said.
Raymond (4-7, 5-10) will have the tough task of challenging powerful Ilwaco on Friday. North Beach (3-9, 4-12) will face Life Christian at home on Friday.
