Montesano coach pleased with progress this season
Montesano head coach Theresa Helland wasn’t sure what type of team she had entering this season as the Bulldogs featured a team comprised of student-athletes new to the sport of tennis.
As Montesano now nears the conclusion of the season, Helland has been pleasantly surprised with the performance of the 2-6 Bulldogs.
“I wasn’t really sure what to expect this season,” she said. “I was very impressed with season we had and how well we competed all year. … I am so proud of our team and the effort and improvement from both our Varsity squad JV squad.”
Montesano will be losing three seniors — Hali Bradshaw, Landree Dohrmann and Sophi Kupka — which Helland says “will all be missed.”
