Aberdeen defeated Hoquiam in a Myrtle Street Rivalry game as we review recent prep softball action on the Harbor.

Aberdeen 14, Hoquiam 1
Aberdeen won its third straight game to open the season with a 14-1 victory over Hoquiam on Wednesday in Aberdeen.
The Bobcats (3-0 overall, 1-0 2A Evergreen) were led by Maddie Gore (1-3, 3B, 3R, 3RBI, SB) and Aili Scott (2-3, R, SB, 3RBI), each of whom drove in three runs in the ballgame.
Annie Boyle was a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and a pair of runs driven in while Kayla Mullin had a base hit and two RBI.
A day after pitching a no-hitter, Lilly Camp was once again dominant in the circle for Aberdeen, allowing a run on two hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in five innings pitched.
The Bobcats host Rochester at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at the Bishop Sports Complex in Aberdeen.
Hoquiam (1-1) is scheduled to take on Raymond at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in Raymond.
Ocosta 16, Northwest Christian 0
A deep Ocosta lineup continued to hammer the softball in a 16-0 victory over Northwest Christian on Wednesday in Westport.
The Wildcats (5-0 overall, 2B Pacific) smashed 16 hits against a Wolverines team playing in its inaugural season.
Shortstop Jessie Gilbert had a monster day at the plate for the Wildcats, going 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs, scoring three runs and driving in seven.
Infielder Noel Cuzdey went 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBI while Trinity White (2-3, 2B, 2R, 2RBI), Brynn Rasmus (3-3, 2R) and Samantha Schlegel (2-3, R, 2RBI) also had multi-hit games for the Wildcats.
Annika Hollingsworth earned the win in the circle for Ocosta, allowing no hits with six strikeouts in the three-inning game.
Ocosta will host a doubleheader against Chief Leschi on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Pe Ell-Willapa Valley sweeps Chief Leschi
The Pe Ell-Willapa Valley Titans swept a doubleheader over Chief Leschi on Tuesday, winning 25-0 and 17-0 in Puyallup.
The Titans (2-0 overall, 2B Pacific) opened the twin bill scoring 10 runs in each of the first two innings and five runs in the third, paced by a three-run home run from Olivia Matlock and triples by Grace Huber and Lauren Matlock.
Olivia Matlock picked up the win, allowing no hits while striking out the side in pitching a scoreless first inning.
Sophomore Lauren Emery struck out five over the final two innings for PWV.
In the nightcap, Olivia Matlock and Raegan Portmann each homered as the Titans won 17-0 in three innings.
PWV led 12-0 after the first inning and scored five more in the second, led by Portmann’s 2-for-3 performance at the plate, with two runs and four RBI.
Olivia Matlock drove in a pair of runs while Dani Shannon allowed a hit and struck out seven in three innings pitched to pick up the victory.
PWV will compete in the Auburn Riverside Fastpitch Invitational 2 on Saturday at Auburn Riverside High School.
The Titans are scheduled to play Yelm at 1:15 p.m. followed by a game against Bellevue at 5:30 p.m.
