Dale Andrew Reed, age 69, passed away on Nov. 17, 2018, doing what he loved to do, hunting. Dale was born on June 11, 1949, in Seattle, Wash. to I J Reed and Tanya M. Nolte. He was raised in Grays Harbor County where he was a lifelong resident.
Dale served in the United States Navy from May 1969 to February 1973.
He worked for Grays Harbor Paper Mill for 20+ years until they shut down ad he moved on to work for the Olympic National Park Service, working in park maintenance, then onto Trailer Services as a truck driver, Don Entus Trucking and Kollman Trucking as a dump truck driver, until he retired disabled in 2005.
Dale was part of the Grays Harbor Bowmen Club, VFW, Elks and Eagles for many years.
He was a hardcore Seahawks fan! His hobbies included spending time with his family, camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, surfing in his younger years and spending time with his momma, traveling to Yuma, Arizona, yearly.
Dale is survived by his wife, Maria A. Reed; mother, Tanya M. Nolte; sister, Katherine D. Holden; son, Robert E. Reed; daughter, Melissa M. Peller; granddaughters, Donna M. Fox, Racheal E. Cox, Emily M. Nicholson and Sophia R. Reed and grandson, Ryan W. Nicholson, Ty A. Reed, Logan M. Peller and nephew, Michael P. Martinson.
